Insert a fingernail or plastic opening tool into the divot to the left of the rear-facing camera.
Be gentle when prying and twisting, as excessive force can damage the phone's flexible rear cover.
Insert a fingernail or plastic opening tool into the recess in the bottom right corner of the battery.
Push the SIM card gently from its housing.
Remove all screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Insert a plastic opening tool between the midframe and display assembly.
Loosen the clasps around the battery housing with a plastic opening tool.
Remove the two 2.9 mm Phillips #00 screws.
Remove the tweezers from storage and carefully use them to disconnect the two antenna cables.
Disconnect the two ribbon cable connectors using a pair of tweezers or the flat end of a spudger.
Hold the motherboard firmly and gently lift it out of the phone.
Lift up the metal tab with tweezers.
Flip the motherboard over.
