Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rear Facing Camera Replacement

Replacing the camera is covered in this guide.

Step 1 | Remove the rear case

Insert fingernail or plastic opening tool into gap between rear case and base.

Step 2 | Remove Case from the Base

  • Run your finger or a plastic spudger along the rear case's edge.
  • Lift the rear case carefully from its base.

Step 3 | Battery

Insert a plastic spudger into the gap between the battery and the phone base.

  • Lift the battery out of its recess.

Step 4 | S Pen

Insert your fingernail into the stylus pen's groove.

  • Pull the stylus pen away from the phone.

Step 5 | Unscrew Back Chassis

Remove all 12 x 4mm Phillips #00 screws from the back chassis.

Step 6 | Remove Back Chassis

  • Insert the plastic opening tool into the Stylus Pen placement holder.
  • Lift the plastic opening tool, and the midframe will separate from the base.

Step 7 | Screw Removal

Remove the screw located beside the headphone jack.

Step 8 | Unfasten Clips and Cable Connectors

Remove both antenna clips using tweezers.

  • Disconnect the six cable connectors with a spudger.

Step 9 | Motherboard Removal

Hold the motherboard firmly in place with tweezers.

Step 10 | Unclipping the Camera

Unclip the camera connecting cable with a plastic opening tool.

  • Remove the loose camera from its base.
