Samsung Galaxy Nexus SIM Card Replacement

Having trouble making calls or sending texts on your Galaxy Nexus?

  • Insert a new SIM card to resolve the issue.

Make sure to properly align the SIM card for correct installation.

Step 1 | Back of Phone

  • Open the back of the phone by inserting a plastic opening tool or your fingertip into the small divot.

Step 2 | Removal of Back Cover

  • Locate the divot on the phone's back.
  • Slide the prying tool or your finger away from the phone, keeping it at an angle while still seated in the divot.
  • The back cover should come free.

Step 3 | Removal of Battery

Insert finger into battery divot, then pull battery towards you.

  • Repeat for new battery installation.

Step 4 | Back Cover of Phone

Locate and carefully remove the SIM card from its tray.

Note: This guide applies to a modified Verizon phone configuration, but follows standard SIM card installation procedures.

  • Pull out the SIM card using your fingers.
