Samsung Galaxy Nexus Screen Replacement

If your phone's screen is cracked or completely dark, proceed with caution.

  • Identify the problem as either a cracked screen or a faulty display.
  • Begin by removing the screen bezel to access the damaged area.
  • Disconnect the battery connector before commencing further disassembly.

Step 1 | Back of Phone

Insert a plastic spudger or your fingernail into the divot.

  • The tool should fit snugly, allowing you to pry open the phone's back.

Step 2 | Removal of Back Cover

Move the prying tool or your fingertip away from the phone.

  • Keep the prying tool at an angle, with the edge still in the divot.
  • The back cover will come off once you've successfully lifted it out of the divot.

Step 3 | Removal of Battery

Insert battery by placing finger in its divot and pulling towards you.

  • To install, align and push battery firmly into place.

Remove four PH # 000 screws, 4.4 mm in diameter, according to the image provided.

Remove screws, then turn phone right side up.

  • Insert plastic opening tool between screen and outer case.
  • Move tool around phone without removing it; keep in place.

Be careful not to damage control board or screen when popping out of outer shell.

Remove screw (4.4mm, PH #000 marked) using your preferred tool.

Use your flat-head screwdriver to lift the blue connector.

Use your finger or a prying tool to gently pry back the bottom module.

Use tweezers or a flat head screwdriver to remove the internal battery.

Be careful: strong adhesive holds the battery to the chassis.

Remove the display connector strip from the main circuit board with a pair of tweezers.

  • Next, remove the USB connector strip in the same manner.

Remove the antenna using either your fingers or tweezers.

Use tweezers to carefully lift and remove the top circuit board.

Be cautious of ribbon cable connectors on some models, as they can be easily damaged.

Step 13 | Screen Replacement

Use tweezers to carefully remove the bottom circuit from the screen.

Remove all other components to leave only the phone screen intact.
