Your Galaxy Nexus' front camera lens isn't capturing images as expected. Follow these steps to replace it with a new one.
Use a plastic spudger or your fingernail to gently pry open the back panel at the divot.
Move the prying tool or your fingertip away from the phone.
Hold the battery by its sides and gently rock it back and forth to dislodge it.
Be careful not to touch the terminals — risk of electric shock.
Use a PH # 000 screwdriver to remove the 4.4 mm screws shown in the accompanying diagram.
Be careful not to damage the control board or screen.
Remove the screw (PH #000 marked) by turning it counterclockwise.
Use the correct screwdriver to avoid damaging the surrounding area.
Use a flat head screwdriver to gently lift the blue connector.
Use a prying tool or your finger to gently pull back the bottom module.
Gently separate the battery from the chassis with a flat tool, as there is adhesive holding them in place.
Use tweezers to carefully peel off the display connector strip from the main circuit board.
Remove the antenna using either your fingers or tweezers.
Use tweezers to gently lift the top circuit board off.
