Samsung Galaxy Mega Midframe Replacement

The back panel assembly protects internal components. Remove it for component access.

Step 1 | Battery

Ensure device is completely turned off before proceeding.

  • Locate the slot on the top left corner of the back of the phone.
  • Plastic opening tool or fingernail, insert into the slot and pull up on the back plate.
  • With one corner released, slide your finger around the device between the back plate and the phone to release remaining connectors.

Locate the battery's release mechanism at the bottom.

  • Push a fingernail into the release slot and gently pry upwards.
  • The battery should now be free to remove.

Step 3 | Midframe

Remove all 14 3.45 mm Phillips #000 screws from the assembly.

  • Gently insert a plastic opening tool into the seam above the volume buttons, or start with a metal spudger for initial opening (be aware of possible exterior damage).

Step 4

Insert a plastic opening tool into the device's seam and slowly slide it around the perimeter to release all internal connectors.

  • The device should come apart easily once the entire perimeter has been released.
  • During reassembly, ensure proper alignment of volume and power buttons.
