Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 Screen & Digitizer Assembly Replacement

  • Apply adhesive to secure the new screen in place.

Ensure the phone is turned off.

  • Locate the charging port slot at the bottom of the phone's back panel.
  • Insert a plastic opening tool or use your fingernail to release the back cover by pulling up on it.
  • Once the corner is released, slide your finger along the edges until the back cover detaches.

  • Find the battery.
  • Gently use a plastic opening tool or fingernail to lift it out.
  • Once freed, take out the battery.

Remove all PH000 Phillips head screws with a size of 1.4 mm.

  • Pry the Digitizer cover off using a careful approach and a pry tool.
  • Use the pry tool to disconnect the digitizer.

Insert the pry tool along the side of the device.

  • Work your way around the borders of the screen to separate it from the rear assembly frame.
  • Do not lift the screen completely off yet — leave it at an angle.

Use a heat gun to heat up the bottom, loosening the adhesive around the menu and back buttons.

  • Once heated, gently pull the screen upward.
  • Verify that the buttons are separating from the adhesive.

Separate the screen from the bezel.
