Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 Front Facing Camera Replacement

Make sure the phone is turned off before starting.

  • Locate the charging port at the bottom of the phone.
  • Insert the plastic opening tool or use your fingernail to lift the back cover, starting from a corner.
  • Slide your finger around the outside edge until the back cover releases.

Locate the battery.

  • Lift the battery using a pry tool or your fingertips.
  • Once lifted, carefully remove the battery.

Remove 13 PH000 screws measuring 1.4 mm.

  • Pry the Digitizer cover using a tool, being careful not to damage it.
  • Disconnect the digitizer cable with tweezers.

Insert a pry tool along the side of the device.

  • Work your way around the borders of the screen, separating it from the rear assembling frame.
  • Once the screen is off, completely remove it from the mid-frame.
  • To remove the mid-frame from the motherboard:
    • Press down on the top right corner of the frame.
    • The mid-frame should release from the motherboard.

Use tweezers to pick up the mid-frame and completely separate it from the motherboard.

  • Position the camera, located in the top left corner.
  • Lift the motherboard connector to release the camera assembly.
  • Remove the camera assembly from the phone.
