Samsung Galaxy Light Motherboard Replacement
- Remove the SIM tray and battery.
- Screw out the midframe fasteners.
- Lift up the midframe to access the motherboard.
- Disconnect all connectors from the old motherboard.
- Install the new motherboard, reconnecting all connectors securely.
- Screw in the midframe fasteners and replace the battery.
- Reinsert the SIM tray and your device is ready for testing.
Step 1 | Remove Back Cover
Make sure the Samsung Galaxy Light is turned off.
- Pry up the back cover using a plastic opening tool or your fingernails.
- Remove the back cover completely.
Step 2 | Remove Battery
Disconnect the battery from its socket.
Step 3 | Unscrew Midframe
Remove midframe screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver. There are 9 screws total.
- Remove each screw individually from the midframe.
Step 4 | Remove Midframe
Use a plastic opening tool to separate the midframe from the front panel.
- Continue until the midframe is completely separated.
- Remove the midframe.
Step 5 | Detach Motherboard
Detach the motherboard using a plastic opening tool.
- Pry up the digitizer connector from the motherboard.
- Lift the motherboard and move it toward the left side of the device.
- Pry up the display connector on the back of the motherboard.
