The Samsung Galaxy Light (SGH-T399) can be disassembled with relative ease compared to other Galaxy phones. The digitizer and screen are separate components, allowing for replacement of one without affecting the other.
Turn off the Samsung Galaxy Light completely.
Disconnect the battery from the device.
Remove the 9 Phillips #0 screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
Detach the digitizer connector using a plastic opening tool.
Remove the headphone jack/earpiece/vibrator assembly using a plastic opening tool.
Be cautious of the thin ribbon cables, which may tear easily.
Remove the support piece using a plastic opening tool.
Release the latch using a plastic opening tool, allowing it to swing up towards the cable.
Slide the digitizer connector free from its socket.
Be extremely cautious when loosening the cable from the back, as damage to the digitizer's cable is a high risk.
Be extremely cautious when separating the digitizer near the highlighted area in red, as damage to the cable may occur.
Do not push the tool too far inside, as this may damage the screen or apply adhesive residue.
Remove all glass shards from the frame.
