Samsung Galaxy J7 Midframe Replacement

Step 1 | Back Cover

Locate the Tab highlighted by a red square at the top left corner of the back cover.

  • Use a fingernail or a plastic opening tool to gently lift the tab.
  • Pry open the cover carefully working around the edges to remove it completely.

If the cover is stuck, do not force it open — use a plastic opening tool instead to avoid scratching the case.

Step 2 | Battery

Locate the Battery slot: Identify the small slit at the bottom right corner of the battery, highlighted by a red square.

Ensure the battery is disconnected from the motherboard before proceeding to remove it.

  • Gently pop out the edge of the battery with your fingers.
  • Carefully pull out the battery while maintaining control over its position.

Step 3 | Midframe

  • Remove the screws surrounding the midframe using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.
  • There are ten screws, each with a length of 4.2 mm.

Use an iFixit opening tool to lift up the back of the device.

  • Disconnect it from the front panel.
  • If removal is stubborn, use a hair dryer or heat gun to gently heat the edges and soften the adhesive.
