Samsung Galaxy J4 Charging Port Replacement

Step 1 | Charging port

Switch off the phone to prevent any accidental shutdowns during disassembly.

  • Use a screwdriver to disassemble the phone.
  • Open the back cover and remove the battery.
  • Remove the nuts securing the components in place.

Remove the panel.

  • Identify the location of the charging port.
  • Use a opening tool to pry the panel loose.

Never damage the motherboard by applying excessive heat — risk of component failure.

  • Use caution when attempting to remove the charging port.
  • Soldering iron or hot air gun can be used, but apply minimal heat and avoid prolonged exposure.

Step 4

Replace the damaged charging port.

  • Apply heat from a soldering iron or hot air gun alongside a pair of tweezers.
  • Gently pry out the charging port. Ensure it is fully removed before discarding.

Step 5

Use a hot air gun to fix the new charging port.

  • If necessary, use a lead wire for additional length.
  • Replace the panel, secure with a screw nut.
  • Power on your phone and test the charging port.
