Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime Battery and SIM Card Replacement

Overcharging can reduce battery performance and lifespan.

  • Power off the Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime completely.
  • Remove all external devices from the phone.
  • Ensure the phone is dry and free of moisture.

The following steps will replace the battery and SIM card without requiring any tools or screwdrivers.

Hold down the power button on the top right-hand side for about 5 seconds to power off your phone.

  • Ensure the charger is removed from your phone.

  • Flip your phone over and position the back face upwards.
  • Use your fingers or a spudger to pry the cover loose, lifting it from the slot on the top right-hand side near the volume buttons.

Locate and remove the battery from its slot at the bottom right of the device.

  • Slide the SIM card down from the SIM card slot.
  • Firmly press down on the SIM card to ensure easy removal.

Insert the new SIM card into its slot.

Ensure the golden pleated side faces down during insertion.

  • Place the new battery in the battery slot, aligning it with the four gold contacts.

Slide the cover into place and press it shut firmly.

  • Turn your phone's power button to turn it on.
