Samsung Galaxy J3 Mission Midframe Replacement

The middfame has multiple screws holding it in place, requiring some time to remove. It serves as a protective barrier for internal components and provides structural integrity.

Step 1 | Back Cover

Insert fingernail into back cover removal slot and gently pull back to release cover.

Step 2 | Battery

Ensure your device is powered down.

  • Insert a fingernail into the battery removal slot and pull back gently.
  • The battery should pop out.

Step 3 | SD and SIM Cards

Slide the SD and SIM card out using your finger.

Step 4 | Screen

Careful handling is required when approaching the home button as its retaining tabs are prone to breaking.

  • Lift the screen using an iFixit opening tool from a vertical phone edge and pry gently until loose.
  • Remove the small plastic brace connecting the damaged screen with an iFixit opening tool.
  • Loosen adhesive holding the home button tabs to prevent damage during removal.

Step 5 | Midframe

Remove the metal panel using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

  • There are 11 screws, each 5mm in length.
  • Remove all of them from the metal panel.

Step 6

Turn the device over and press firmly to release the metal plate from the back panel.
