Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro Motherboard Change Replacement

If your phone suddenly stops working, consider replacing the motherboard.

  • Start by opening up the device to access its internal components.
  • Identify and disconnect the battery connector.
  • The next step is to locate and carefully remove the motherboard.

Step 1 | Motherboard Change

Power down your phone.

  • Take out theback cover.
  • Disconnect thebattery.

Attach a suction cup to the screen and gently pry upwards.

  • Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap under the screen and work your way around the perimeter.
  • Do not remove the screen completely, as there are cables still connecting the two pieces.

  • Insert the pointy end of a spudger under the white plastic cover and gently lift.
  • Pry the display cable away from the motherboard using the spudger.
  • Remove the screen.

Remove eleven JIS 00 screws from the mid-frame.

  • Use a spudger to carefully pry the mid-frame from the screen.

Disconnect the motherboard mounting screws and gently pull the motherboard away from the mid-frame.
