Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro Headphone jack Replacement

Replace a faulty headphone jack if you're experiencing issues with earphones or headphones connecting to your Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro.

Step 1 | Motherboard Change

Turn off the phone.

  • Remove the back cover
  • Remove the battery

Do not attempt to fully remove the screen.

  • Attach a suction cup to the screen and gently pry upwards.
  • Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap under the screen, working your way around its perimeter.

  • Insert the pointy end of the spudger under the white plastic cover and gently pry it away.
  • Use the spudger to carefully lift the display cable from its connection on the motherboard.
  • The screen is now removable.

  • Remove the eleven JIS 00 screws from the mid-frame.
  • Use a spudger to carefully pry the mid-frame away from the screen.

Disconnect the motherboard mounting screws.

  • Remove the motherboard from its position within the mid-frame.

Step 6 | Headphone jack

Use the flat end of a spudger to carefully pry up the headphone jack cable connector from its socket on the motherboard.
