Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro Front and Back Camera Replacement

Replace the damaged camera lens.

  • Acquire a new replacement camera module compatible with the Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro.
  • Follow proper safety precautions when handling fragile electronic components.

Step 1 | Motherboard Change

Disconnect power to prevent damage or injury.

  • Remove the back cover.
  • Take out the battery.

Do not remove the screen completely — cables remain connected.

  • Attach a suction cup to the screen and pry upwards.
  • Insert the plastic opening tool into the gap under the screen.
  • Work your way around the perimeter with the plastic opening tool.

Insert the pointy end of a spudger into the gap beside the white plastic cover and gently pry it away.

  • Use the spudger to carefully lift up the display cable from the motherboard.
  • Once the cable is disconnected, set the display aside.

Remove the eleven JIS 00 screws from the mid-frame.

  • Use a spudger to pry the mid-frame from the screen.

Remove the motherboard from the mid-frame.

Step 6 | Front and Back Camera

  • Flip up the retaining flaps on the front and rear camera ribbon cable ZIF sockets using a spudger.
  • Pull the cables out of the ZIF sockets.
