Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) SIM Card Replacement

Power off your device before proceeding.

  • Follow this guide to remove the MicroSD memory and the SIM card from your Samsung Galaxy J3.

Step 1 | Rear Cover

  • Use a fingernail or the flat end of a spudger to insert into the divot to the left of the rear-facing camera.
  • Pry the rear cover gently away from the phone until all plastic clips are released.

Remove the rear cover.

  • To reinstall: Align the rear cover with the back of the phone.
  • Squeeze the phone's perimeter to snap the clips into place.

Step 3 | Battery

Insert a fingernail or the flat end of a spudger into the divot below the battery pack.

  • Pry the battery pack out of its recess.
  • Do not push too hard with a spudger or you will puncture the battery pack.

  • Remove the battery pack.

Step 4 | SIM Card

Use a fingertip to slide the MicroSD card out of its slot.

  • Remove the MicroSD card from the phone.
  • Repeat the process for the SIM card, sliding it out of its slot using a fingertip.

Make sure both cards are properly oriented during reinstallation, as they can only be installed in one direction.
