Samsung Galaxy J1 Midframe Replacement
- To access internal components like the motherboard, front camera, rear camera, and daughterboard, you'll need to remove the midframe.
Step 1 | Midframe
Insert a plastic spudger between the back cover and the device.
- Pry the rear cover gently from the back of the phone.
Step 2
- Pull the SIM card down out of its slot using your finger.
- Remove the SIM card.
The device is currently missing a SIM card and battery.
Step 3
Remove the eleven 3mm screws with a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Step 4
Insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and the back of the device.
- Start at the bottom and slide the tool along the edges of the screen, being gentle.
- Pry the main assembly from the midframe, taking care not to crack the glass or break clips.
Risk of damaging the glass screen or internal components if not careful.
