Samsung Galaxy J1 Midframe Replacement

  • To access internal components like the motherboard, front camera, rear camera, and daughterboard, you'll need to remove the midframe.

Insert a plastic spudger between the back cover and the device.

  • Pry the rear cover gently from the back of the phone.

  • Pull the SIM card down out of its slot using your finger.
  • Remove the SIM card.
  • The device is currently missing a SIM card and battery.

Remove the eleven 3mm screws with a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Insert a plastic opening tool between the screen and the back of the device.

  • Start at the bottom and slide the tool along the edges of the screen, being gentle.
  • Pry the main assembly from the midframe, taking care not to crack the glass or break clips.

Risk of damaging the glass screen or internal components if not careful.
