Samsung Galaxy J1 / J100 Touch Screen & LCD Replacement

Familiarize yourself with all safety precautions before starting disassembly.

  • Remove the screws holding the display bezel in place.
  • Carefully lift and detach the bezel.
  • Disconnect the ribbon cables connected to the LCD display and Touch screen digitizer.
  • Remove the screws holding the TSD (Touch Screen Digitizer) in place.
  • Separate the TSD from the LCD display.
  • Install new parts and reassemble in reverse order, ensuring all connections are secure.

Remove the battery to prevent any accidental power-ons.

  • Remove the SIM card and memory card tray.
  • Take out the battery from the device.

Locate the LCD flex cable connector underneath the plastic.

  • Insert a tool with a needlepoint tip to carefully release the connector.

Disconnect the LCD flex cable.

Always test a new replacement part before installation.

Apply hot air to warm the glass and soften the adhesive.

  • Begin separating using a cutter or knife.
  • Continue with a plastic tool once there is space between the glass and the frame.

Warm the glass to ease separation.

  • Be cautious when handling the LCD, as it's fragile.
  • Remove the screen and glass from the frame.

Disconnect the touch screen flex cable.

Gently separate the glass from the LCD.

  • Connect the touch screen to the LCD flex cable.
  • Install the LCD and screen into their respective places.
  • Remove any protective film from both surfaces.

  • Take the earpiece metal plate from the old touch screen and install it.
  • If your new LCD has a factory-applied cover, remove it now.

Securely connect the LCD flex cable.

  • The repair is now complete.
