Waterlogged Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime

Peel away the screen display carefully from the secondary back panel, using a hair dryer if necessary to loosen any remaining adhesive.

Use a small towel or cotton swab to address areas of concern on the main frame.

  • Another option is submerging both parts in a container with desiccants like silica gel for an extended period.

Ensure all excess moisture is eliminated.

  • Reattach the screen, followed by the secondary back panel.
  • Press firmly around the edges to secure the frame in place.

Reinsert the battery in its original position, ensuring correct orientation for future boot-up.

  • Take the battery set aside in step 4 and carefully align it with its slot.
  • Slide the battery back into place, making sure it is properly seated.

Retrieve all 4mm screws stored from Step 3.

  • Using a 1.5x25 millimeter Phillips head screwdriver, tighten all 9 4mm screws.
  • Verify that each screw is properly secured for stability and functionality.

Reinstall the primary back panel from Step 2.

  • Align the primary back panel with the secondary back panel, ensuring the Samsung logo faces outward.
  • Click the panels together and work your way around until all sides are securely attached.

Connect a USB Micro-B cable to the phone before closing it.

  • The phone should have enough charge to power on when opened again.
  • If all steps are followed correctly, the phone will function normally.
