Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Headphone Jack/Speaker Assembly Replacement
Replace the faulty audio jack or speaker.
Step 1 | Battery
- Use a blue plastic opening tool to lift the back cover tab.
- Work your way around the edge to completely remove the back cover.
Step 2 | Remove the battery.
- Lift up the thumb tab to remove the old battery.
- Clean the brass terminals on the battery and phone using a Q-tip with a minute amount of ISO.
Step 3 | Midframe
Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the nine 4mm screws securing the midframe.
Step 4
Insert a blue plastic opening tool into the gap between the front and side panels.
- Wedge it firmly in place.
- Rotate the tool around the edges, working from one end to the other.
Step 5
Detach the mid-frame from both the inside and outside of the device.
Step 6 | Headphone Jack/Speaker Assembly
- Use a plastic opening tool to unhook the ribbon cable clip.
- Remove the audio jack
