Tips for Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus (I9060i)

Step 1 | HARD RESET

All personal data will be erased and settings will revert to factory defaults.

  • Switch off the phone.
  • Press and hold Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons for 15-20 seconds.
  • Release the buttons when the Galaxy logo appears.
  • Navigate through Android System Recovery menu using:
    • Volume Up/Down buttons to scroll up/down.
    • Power button to confirm selections.
  • Select:
    • wipe data/factory reset
    • Yes — delete all user data
    • reboot system now

Step 2 | SERVICE TEST MENU

  • To access the hidden test menu, press menu key, type in code #0#, and press the call button.
  • Alternatively, go to Settings, scroll down and select #7353# from the list.

From here you can perform various diagnostic tests, including vibration check, display settings, touchscreen calibration, audio output test, camera inspection, sensor evaluation, etc.

Step 3 | SECRET CODES

Enter the following secret codes to retrieve product information and troubleshoot issues:

  • #06#: Displays IMEI number
  • #1234#: Shows firmware version
  • #2222#: Reveals hardware version
  • #0011#: Provides GSM network status
  • #0228#: Displays battery status
  • #7353#: Opens self test menu
  • #1111#: Shows FTA SW version

Step 4 | SAFE MODE

Booting into Safe Mode can resolve issues like hang-ups, freezing, and slow performance.

If your device freezes, restarts frequently, or drains battery quickly, try Safe Mode.

  • Switch off the phone.
  • Press and hold both the Volume Down and Power buttons.
  • Release the Power button when you see the Galaxy logo; keep holding the Volume Down button.

The device will now be in Safe Mode, with all user-installed apps temporarily disabled.

To exit Safe Mode, tap on the notification or restart your device manually.

Step 5 | DEVELOPER OPTIONS

Enabling Developer Options gives access to ADB settings, USB debugging, and monitoring tools.

  • Go to Menu > Settings > About device.
  • Scroll down and tap the Build number seven times.

Do not change options if you're unsure of their purpose.

Verify Developer Options enabled successfully by checking its presence in System settings or on the status bar.
