Step 1 | Remove the Battery Cover

Identify the small indentation at the top of the device.

Use your fingernails or a plastic spudger to gently pry the cover away from the mid-frame.

Step 2 | Remove the Battery

Identify the battery compartment and locate its small indentation at the lower left corner.

Lift the battery out of the device using either your fingers or a plastic opening tool.

Step 3 | Remove the Mid-Frame

Remove the 5 x 3mm screws along top and bottom with a Philips #00 screwdriver.

One is hidden under reflective foil – breaking it will void warranty.
Use a plastic removal tool to pry mid-frame from device.
Work slowly along edges, applying gentle pressure as needed.

Apply excessive force at your own risk – may cause damage.

Step 4 | Remove the Damaged Speaker

Use fingers or tweezers to lift the speaker out of the phone.
