Samsung Galaxy Express 3 Back and Recent Apps button Replacement

If the back or recent tabs buttons stop working, proceed with caution.

  • Remove the screen by following a separate guide or manufacturer's instructions.

Identify the indent area marked in red.

  • Use your fingertip or a Prying Tool (e.g., guitar pick) to gently separate the back from the phone body.

Never use a metal tool on the battery - risk of injury.

  • Remove the cover and locate the SAMSUNG battery.
  • Lift up the bottom indent using your fingernail or a Plastic Prying Tool, such as a guitar pick.

Remove the Piece with a Plastic Prying Tool.

Disconnect the screen connector.

Heating the screen is crucial to loosen the adhesive without damaging the LCD.

  • Apply heat from a blow dryer or heating pad to the screen for several minutes.
  • The adhesive should now be loosened, allowing for easy removal of the screen.

Use only a plastic prying tool, such as a spudger or guitar pick, to lift out the glass digitizer and LCD screen.

  • Lift around the edges, moving slowly and carefully to avoid cracking the parts.
  • A metal tool can damage the screen; ensure your chosen tool is made of plastic.

Step 7 | Back and Recent Apps Touch Sensor Button(s)

Never use a metal tool — risk of damage to the phone.

  • Remove circuit buttons using a plastic tool.
  • Beware of old or recent tabs and remove them as needed with a plastic tool.
