Samsung Galaxy Centura Screen Replacement

  • Samsung Galaxy Centura screen removal and replacement guide:

Step 1 | Battery

Finger pinch risk when pressing into the groove.

  • Locate the rectangular groove on the top side of the device.
  • Firmly press a plastic opening tool or index finger into the groove.
  • Pull back firmly to open the device.

Locate the battery within the exposed phone interior.

  • Gently grasp the battery between your thumb and index finger.
  • Pull upwards to release the battery, expecting minimal resistance.

Step 3 | Screen

Identify and note the locations of all screws on the device's back.

  • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws.
  • The screws are 5.0mm in length.

Locate the indentation on the side of the device.

  • Gently insert a plastic opening tool into the indentation.
  • Pry the plastic apart with a firm motion.
  • Pull the plastic apart gently and set it aside.

The phone should now appear as shown in the second picture.

Locate and pull back the clips on the right-hand side and upper-left side of the phone.

  • Release the clips carefully to prevent damage.
  • Gently raise the motherboard to expose the screen from the back.

Insert the metal spudger at the top edge of the back side of the screen.

  • Gently apply pressure to lift the screen.
  • Continue pulling the screen upwards from one side until it is completely removed.
