Removing the wrong part can cause damage to your phone — be sure you have the correct component before proceeding.
Turn the device over and place the screen face-down on a stable surface.
Be careful when prying off the battery door as it may break.
Remove the battery door and set it aside.
The battery must be installed with the arrow on its bottom surface pointing downwards.
Remove the six Phillips head screws securing the rear housing.
Use a spudger or plastic pry tool to gently release the clips between the display and rear housing.
Remove the rear housing from the display assembly.
Use the spudger to disconnect the headphone jack flex cable.
Use a spudger/plastic pry tool to disconnect the rear speaker flex cable.
Remove the vibration motor using a spudger or pry tool, taking care to overcome the mild adhesive securing it at the base.
Do not attempt to fully remove the logic board yet.
Disconnect the LCD/Digitizer flex cable using a spudger/plastic pry tool.
Verify the logic board has been successfully separated from the display assembly.
Flip the logic board over so that it faces away from you.
Careful not to damage the ribbon cable.
Remove the speaker/rear camera module from the PCB.
