Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G Logic Board Replacement

Turn the device over to its back, with the screen facing downwards.

Locate the small notch at the top of the device.

• Pry off the battery door using a pry tool or your fingernail from the main housing.

• Battery door placement: Set aside to one side.
• Pry the battery upwards using a pry tool or your fingernail.

When installing the new battery, ensure the arrow marker on its underside is facing downwards.

Remove six Phillips head screws holding the rear housing.

• Use a spudger or plastic pry tool to gently separate the phone's display from its rear housing.
• Work your way around the phone, slowly releasing the adhesive clips that hold them together.

Lift the rear housing away from the display assembly.

Use a spudger/plastic pry tool to disconnect the headphone jack flex cable.

Disconnect the rear speaker flex cable with a spudger/plastic pry tool.

Remove the vibration motor using a spudger/pry tool.

Note: The motor may have a mild adhesive on the bottom.

Remove both flex cables.

Do not remove the logic board completely.

• Move it slowly to the left of the screen assembly.

The display assembly flex cable remains to be removed.

Disconnect the LCD/Digitizer flex cable using a spudger/plastic pry tool.

Verify that the logic board has been successfully detached from the display assembly.
