Step 1 | Touch screen Glass, LCD Display, Earpiece, Loudspeaker, Main Camera
Disconnect power from the device by switching it off.
- Remove the battery.
- Take out any installed SIM card and memory card.
Step 2
Remove 7 Phillips screws.
Use a soft, non-metallic tool (such as a plastic spudger) to avoid damaging components.
The vibrating motor is not a separate component at this stage; it will be addressed later in the repair process.
Step 3
Careful not to damage the flex cables.
- Disconnect the earpiece & light sensor flex cable.
- Remove the Volume Up/Down buttons flex cable.
- Separate the Power button flex cable.
Step 4
Lift the microphone.
- Lift the board from the right side.
- Disconnect the LCD display flex cable.
- Remove the board from the middle frame.
Step 5
The primary camera module.

Step 7
Remove the Loudspeaker and Light Sensor Module.
Step 8
Locate and disconnect the touch screen flex cable.
Step 9
- Warm the touch screen glass using a hair dryer.
- This will cause the adhesive to soften.
- Insert a plastic tool between the glass and the middle frame to separate them.
Step 10
Use a plastic spudger to carefully separate the LCD display from the middle frame.
Step 11
Remove any debris from the middle frame.
- Install the LCD display into its designated slot.
Step 12
Reinstall the touch screen.
- Start by replacing the display assembly
- Then begin the reassembly process.
Step 13
Verify that your repair was successful by testing the device.
