Disassembling Samsung Galaxy Ace Logic Board
Step 1 | Logic Board
Remove the battery cover by sliding it off.
- Next, lift out the battery.
Step 2
Remove all 7 silver screws using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.
Be careful with the green screw, as it may be difficult to remove.
Use a tweezer for easier removal.
Step 3
Lift the back cover carefully from the screen assembly, starting at the bottom.
Step 4
Handle with care, as the flexible on/off button is delicate and may break or tear.
Use a flat tweezer to carefully lift the flexible on/off button from its frame location.
Step 5
Remove the Flexible volume button on the left side using a flat tweezer and gentle care.
Be cautious not to cut the cable; lift the flex slowly when removing it.
- Repeat the process for the right side.
- Take your time to avoid damaging the flex or cable.
Step 6
Remove the microphone from the logic board.
Step 7
Do not force removal to avoid damaging the soldered connections.
- Lift the sensor/earpiece cable using a opening tool.
Step 8
Lift the logic board from the right side.
- Use a removal tool to unplug the display cable from the logic board.
- The logic board can now be separated from the display assembly.
Step 9
Use the removal tool to unclip the camera module from the Logic board.
Step 10
Do not apply excessive force when removing the speaker module.
- Use a removal tool or a spudger to disconnect the speaker module cable.
- Gently create small wave-like movements to release the speaker module's plastic teeth from the Logic board.
Step 11
Proceed to work on the Logic board.
