Samsung Galaxy A72 Screen Replacement

Make sure to discharge battery below 25% before disassembling to prevent fire or explosion risk.

  • Samsung Galaxy A72 screen replacement: If frame is deformed, replace it for proper mounting and even pressure.
  • If your battery is swollen, take necessary precautions.
  • Ensure correct replacement part before starting (screen only or pre-installed in new frame).

Do not skip adhesive seal replacement during reassembly to preserve water protection.

Step 1 | Heat the back cover

Step 1 image

Prepare an iOpener by applying it to the back cover for at least two minutes to loosen the adhesive underneath.

  • The iOpener can be replaced with a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but exercise caution to avoid overheating the phone.
  • Avoid excessive heat as it may damage the display and internal battery.

Secure a suction handle to the back cover's bottom edge, as close to the edge as possible.

If the back cover is cracked, the suction handle may not stick: try using strong tape or superglue it in place and allow it to cure before proceeding.

  • Lift the back cover with the suction handle to create a small gap between it and the frame.
  • If needed, apply more heat to soften the adhesive further, following iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

Insert an opening pick into the created gap.

Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive. Leave it in place to prevent resealing.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive

  • Insert a third opening pick at the bottom left corner of your phone.
  • Slide the opening pick along the left edge to slice the adhesive.
  • Leave the pick in the top left corner to prevent resealing.

  • Apply strong, steady pressure to your phone for several minutes after installing the back cover to ensure a secure bond.

    • A stack of heavy books can be used to apply even pressure.
