Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the back cover for at least two minutes.
The display and internal battery are susceptible to heat damage.
Secure a suction handle to the back cover's bottom edge, as close to the edge as possible.
If the back cover is cracked, the suction handle may not stick; try using strong tape or superglue to secure it.
Insert an opening pick into the created gap.
Insert a second opening pick at the bottom edge of your phone.
If adhesive becomes hard to cut, it has likely cooled down.
Leave the opening pick in the top left corner to prevent resealing.
Insert a fourth opening pick under the top left corner of your phone.
Remove the back cover.
Apply strong, steady pressure to your phone for several minutes after installing the back cover.
For extra bonding time, place a stack of heavy books on top of your phone.
Remove the motherboard cover using a Phillips screwdriver. You will need to unscrew ten screws, each measuring 4.5 mm long.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger under the right edge of the motherboard cover.
Disconnect the motherboard cover.
Disconnect the battery cable by prying the connector straight up from its socket using a spudger.
Remove the seven 4.5mm Phillips screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the loudspeaker assembly.
Apply new adhesive as needed during reassembly, ensuring surfaces are clean and degreased with isopropyl alcohol (min. 90% concentration).
