Power off your phone completely.

• Remove the SIM card holder.

Apply an iOpener to loosen adhesive on each side, or use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate for at least two minutes.

Be cautious not to overheat the phone, as it may damage the display and internal battery.

Secure a suction handle to the back cover's edge, as close to the edge as possible.

• If the back cover is cracked, try using strong tape or superglue to secure the suction handle in place and allow it to cure.
• Lift the back cover with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.

It may take several attempts to successfully lift the cover; if you have trouble creating a gap, apply more heat but be careful not to overheat (follow iOpener instructions).

• Insert an opening pick into the created gap.
• Slide the opening pick along the phone's side to slice the adhesive, leaving it in place to prevent resealing.

Insert a second opening pick at the bottom edge of your phone.

• Slide the opening pick along the side of the phone to slice the adhesive.
• Leave both opening picks in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Reheat the adhesive with the iOpener for 1-2 minutes if it's hard to cut.

• Run the opening pick along both sides of the back cover to finish slicing the adhesive.
• Leave one pick on each side to prevent re-adhesion.

Remove the back glass.
