Apply iOpener to the back cover for at least 2 minutes.

Use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate with caution — excessive heat can damage display and internal battery.

Secure a suction handle to the right edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.

• Lift the back cover with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.
• If trouble persists, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive; follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.
• Insert an opening pick into the created gap.

Insert an opening pick into the device and slide it to the top right corner, carefully slicing the adhesive.

• Position the opening pick at the top right corner of the device and gently apply pressure until the adhesive is cut.
• Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Insert a second opening pick at the top right edge of your phone.

• Slide the opening pick towards the bottom right corner to cut the adhesive.
• Leave the opening picks in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

If the adhesive hardens, it has cooled down.

• Reheat with iOpener for 1-2 minutes.
• Slide along bottom edge to cut adhesive.
• Leave one pick in bottom left corner in place.

Insert a fourth opening pick into the bottom left corner.

• Slide the opening pick along the left edge to cut the adhesive.
• Leave the pick in the top left corner to hold the adhesive open.

• Insert a fifth opening pick into the top left corner.
• Slide the opening pick along the top edge of the back cover to cut the remaining adhesive.

• Remove the back cover.
• Clean areas in need with isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher), then apply new adhesive as required.
• Secure the new back cover using pre-cut adhesive or double-sided adhesive tape.

Apply firm pressure to your phone for several minutes after installation, a stack of heavy books can provide sufficient weight.

Remove the motherboard cover by unscrewing the eight 3.9mm screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

• Insert the flat end of a spudger into the gap on the right edge.
• Pry up the motherboard cover with the spudger.

Remove the motherboard cover.

Use a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket.

Remove the seven 3.9 mm-long screws securing the loudspeaker assembly with a Phillips screwdriver.

Insert the flat end of a spudger into the gap between the right edge of the loudspeaker assembly and the midframe.

• Pry up the loudspeaker assembly using your spudger.
• Remove the loudspeaker assembly.
