Replacing the back cover may compromise your phone's water resistance.

  • Follow this guide for Samsung Galaxy A53 5G back cover replacement.
  • To seal the device properly, new adhesive is required during reassembly.

Step 1 | Heat the back cover

Step 1 image

Prepare an iOpener by applying it to the back cover for at least two minutes to loosen the adhesive underneath.

Be cautious when using a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, as overheating can damage the display and internal battery.

Secure a suction handle to the right edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.

  • Lift the back cover with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.
  • If necessary, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive. Follow the iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.
  • Insert an opening pick into the gap you created.

  • Clean relevant areas with isopropyl alcohol (>90%) and apply new adhesive where necessary.
