Power off your phone before disassembling it.

• Apply an iOpener for at least two minutes to loosen the adhesive beneath the back cover.
• If necessary, repeat this step several times during removal.

Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate – but avoid overheating:

• The AMOLED display and internal battery are susceptible to heat damage.

Insert an opening pick at the bottom end of your phone.

• If necessary, use a suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and frame.
• Slide the opening pick's tip to the bottom left corner and start cutting the adhesive.
• Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.
• Insert another opening pick on the left side of the phone and continue cutting the adhesive.

Use a opening pick to carefully pry the adhesive from all sides of the phone.

Be aware that the back cover is under constant tension and may break if the adhesive isn't sufficiently loosened.

• Leave at least one opening pick in each corner to prevent re-adhesion.
• If the adhesive becomes difficult to cut, reuse an iOpener.
• Insert a opening pick on the right side of the phone and gently pry until you can obtain a secure grip on the back cover.

Ensure all existing adhesive is removed before reapplying new adhesive.

• Use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to clean remaining areas on the back cover and .
