Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) Back Cover Replacement

Switch off your phone.

• iOpener: Heat up and soften the adhesive behind the back cover.
• Lift the back cover with a suction handle, then insert an opening pick.

Insert a second opening pick at the top edge, then slide it around the right and left corners along the bottom.

• Make sure to maintain access between the back cover and frame with the first pick.

• Slide the first pick up to the middle to separate the back cover from the frame.

Continue up towards the top corner with an additional opening pick.

• Target the final area at the top using a single pick.

Insert a plastic card into the gap between the bottom edge of the device and the back cover, then gently slide it underneath.

Careful of damaging the NFC antenna underneath.

• Heat the back cover again to make it slide-able.
• Slide a plastic card towards the top, guided by the camera bump.
• Lift the back cover up slowly and remove it carefully.

Remove all adhesive residue before reassembling and apply new adhesive as needed.
