  • Turn off your phone.
  • Press and hold the Volume Up, Home, and Power buttons simultaneously.
  • Release the Power button when the Galaxy logo appears on the screen.

Press the Volume Up or Down button to navigate and the Power button for selection.

  • From the Android system recovery menu, select wipe data/factory reset.
  • Confirm by selecting Yes — this will delete all user data.
  • Select reboot system now to complete the process.

If you are prompted with a "Delete SD card contents" option, press Volume Down to navigate away from it.
