Step 1 | SECRET CODES
Enter the following codes in your phone's dialer app:
- *#06# to retrieve IMEI number
- *#1234# to check firmware version
- *#0228# for battery information
Step 2 | HIDDEN TEST MENU
Press #0*# to access the test menu.
- Run a series of diagnostics including:
- Vibration testing
- RGB color calibration
- Touch-screen functionality check
- Loudspeaker output testing
- Camera inspection
- Sensor system verification
Step 3 | SAFE MODE
Switch off the phone.
- Press and hold the Volume Down and the Power buttons until the Galaxy logo appears.
- Release only the Power button when you see the Galaxy logo, keeping the Volume Down button pressed.
All third-party apps will be disabled while in Safe mode.
- To exit Safe mode, tap on the Safe mode notification or manually restart the device.
Step 4 | DEVELOPER OPTIONS
Do not modify settings unless familiar with them.
- Navigate to Menu > Settings > About device using a touchscreen interface.
- Scroll down and tap the Build number seven times on compatible devices.
Step 5 | SNAPSHOT
Press both Power and Home buttons simultaneously until the shutter sound is triggered or a confirmation visual appears.
- The phone will then proceed to perform the required action.
- Release the buttons once you hear the shutter sound or see the visual confirmation.
