Samsung Galaxy A40 Super AMOLED Screen Replacement

Always discharge your battery below 25% before disassembly to prevent fire or explosion risk.

  • Samsung Galaxy A40 screen repair requires correct replacement part matching, note that some screens come with a new frame (chassis).
  • Replace the cracked or broken screen while retaining the original and motherboard.
  • Reattach components using replacement adhesive when reassembling your phone.
  • Be aware that incorrect part installation may lead to uneven pressure damage on the new screen.

Insert a SIM card eject tool, SIM eject bit, or straightened paper clip into the hole on the left side of the phone.

  • Press firmly into the hole to eject the SIM card tray.
  • Remove the ejected SIM card tray.

Properly orient SIM cards when reinserting them in the tray.

Step 2 | Loosen the back cover adhesive

Step 2 image

Apply a iOpener to the back cover and heat it for at least 2 minutes.

  • The heat will loosen the adhesive underneath.

Step 3 | Insert an opening pick

Secure a suction handle to the right edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the phone's back cover is damaged, use strong tape or apply superglue to ensure the suction handle stays in place.
  • Lift the back cover with the suction handle, creating a small gap between the back cover and the frame.

Be careful not to overheat the adhesive when using heat — follow iOpener instructions for proper use.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap created by the suction handle.
  • If a small gap is still difficult to achieve, apply more heat while following safe usage guidelines.

Step 4 | Slice the adhesive
