Step 1 | Charging Dock / Charging Board

The replacement component includes:

  • Daughter Board with integrated features.
    • Charging port
    • Microphone
  • Main flex cable connector.
  • Display connector.
  • 3G and 4G antennas.

Step 2 | Remove the Back Cover

Press and hold the small button on the right side until the device turns off.

Wait at least a few seconds for the device to completely shut off before proceeding.

  • Use a heat gun or heating pad to warm up the device, softening the adhesive.
  • Remove the back cover using:
    • Spudger
    • a playing card, as an alternative
  • Assisted by a Suction Cup
  • And Isopropyl alcohol for additional separation.

Step 3 | Remove the Sim Card Tray/Fingerprint Sensor

Risk of damage to internal components if ribbons are mishandled.

  • Remove the SIM tray.
  • Remove the Fingerprint sensor cover.
  • Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor connector.

  • Remove the 13 screws.
  • Remove the back cover.

Disconnect the Main flex cable, Display flex cable, and Coaxial antenna cable.

  • Remove the black screw securing the charging board.

Step 6

Remove the old charging board using a Plastic tool.

  • Optional: Gently warm the charging board with a heat source to aid in disassembly.
  • Install the new charging board and test the device.
