Samsung Galaxy A40 Charging Board Replacement

Step 1 | Charging Dock / Charging Board

The replacement component includes:

Daughter Board with integrated features.

Charging port
Microphone

Main flex cable connector.
Display connector.
3G and 4G antennas.

Step 2 | Remove the Back Cover

Press and hold the small button on the right side until the device turns off.

Wait at least a few seconds for the device to completely shut off before proceeding.

Use a heat gun or heating pad to warm up the device, softening the adhesive.
Remove the back cover using:

Spudger
a playing card, as an alternative

Assisted by a Suction Cup
And Isopropyl alcohol for additional separation.

Step 3 | Remove the Sim Card Tray/Fingerprint Sensor

Risk of damage to internal components if ribbons are mishandled.

Remove the SIM tray.
Remove the Fingerprint sensor cover.
Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor connector.

Step 4

Remove the 13 screws.
Remove the back cover.

Step 5

Disconnect the Main flex cable, Display flex cable, and Coaxial antenna cable.

Remove the black screw securing the charging board.

Step 6

Remove the old charging board using a Plastic tool.

Optional: Gently warm the charging board with a heat source to aid in disassembly.
Install the new charging board and test the device.
