Samsung Galaxy A32 5G Screen Replacement

Swollen batteries can cause fire or explosion when punctured; discharge below 25% if possible.

  • Carefully inspect your Samsung Galaxy A32 5G's frame for damage; replace it to ensure proper screen mounting and prevent uneven pressure damage.
  • Verify you have the correct replacement screen, which may come with a new frame (chassis) requiring a different procedure.

Acquire replacement adhesives for both rear glass and screen before proceeding.

Step 1 | Heat the back cover

Step 1 image

Do not apply excessive heat to the phone.

  • Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the back cover for at least two minutes to loosen adhesive underneath.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate to heat the area. However, monitor temperature carefully to avoid damaging the display or internal battery.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Secure a suction handle to the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the back cover is cracked, use strong tape or superglue to secure the suction handle in place and let it cure.
  • Lift the back cover using the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.
  • Apply more heat if necessary, following iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

  • Insert an opening pick into the gap you created.
  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to slice the adhesive.
  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive

  • Remove the back cover.
  • Clean relevant areas with isopropyl alcohol (>90%) before applying new adhesive.

  • Apply new adhesive to cleaned areas, then secure the new back cover using pre-cut adhesive or double-sided tape.
  • After installing the back cover, apply strong, steady pressure for several minutes to ensure a good bond. A stack of heavy books can be used for this purpose.

  • (As last resort) Use superglue on the suction cup for adhesion

Be careful not to apply excessive force, which can crack the screen further.

  • Lift the screen with the suction handle to create a gap between it and the front panel assembly.
  • Insert an opening pick into this gap.
  • Slide the opening pick up to the top right corner of the screen to break its adhesive seal.
