Samsung Galaxy A32 5G Back Cover Replacement

You'll need replacement adhesive to properly reattach components during reassembly, so make sure you have it before proceeding.

Step 1 | Heat the back cover

Step 1 image

Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the back cover for 2 minutes.

  • The adhesive underneath should loosen during this time.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but be careful not to overheat the phone. The display and internal battery are susceptible to heat damage.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Attach a suction handle to the back cover's lower edge, as close as possible.

  • If the back cover is cracked, use strong tape or apply superglue to ensure it sticks securely.
  • Lift the back cover with the suction handle, creating a small gap between it and the frame.

Apply more heat if needed to soften the adhesive further. Be cautious not to overheat using the iOpener.

  • Insert an opening pick into the created gap.
  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom right corner to cut through the adhesive.
  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent re-sealing of the adhesive.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive

Insert a second opening pick along the bottom edge of the phone.

  • Slide this new opening pick towards the bottom left corner to break the adhesive seal.

If the adhesive becomes hard to cut, it may have cooled down.

  • Reheat the adhesive with the iOpener for one to two minutes.
  • Insert a third opening pick at the bottom left corner of your phone.
  • Slide the opening pick along the left edge to slice the adhesive.
  • Leave the opening pick in the top left corner to prevent resealing.
