Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) Battery Replacement

Opening the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) will damage its waterproof sealing.

  • Use this guide to replace the battery in your Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017).
  • If your battery is swollen, take proper precautions and exercise caution, wearing eye protection if necessary, or seek professional help.
  • Do not heat the phone when handling a swollen battery.
  • You will need replacement adhesive to reattach the back cover during reassembly.

Power off your phone before disassembly to avoid any potential risks.

  • Apply an iOpener to loosen the back cover adhesive for at least two minutes.
  • You may need to repeat this step multiple times during removal.

Alternatively, use a heat source like a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate – but be cautious not to overheat, as the AMOLED display and internal battery are sensitive to heat damage.
