Apply gentle heat to the display's edges with a heat gun or an iPad opener.

Be extremely careful not to damage the ear speaker, camera, or light sensor.

• Use a pick or slim plastic tool to loosen the glass around the phone's edge.
• Avoid damaging the left and right home buttons when working near the bottom of the phone.

Note that the LCD is glued to the frame and may break during display removal.

Disconnect the display cable.

• Lift the top of the display away from the phone to expose the home buttons.
• Glass contact pins are located underneath the glass; pry them off gently.
• Insert the pins back into their recesses on the phone.

Glueing the display without testing first can cause damage.

• Connect new display and test it by turning on the phone.
• Verify display and home buttons are working properly.
• Remove plastic covering adhesive and apply gentle pressure around edges to seal.
