Samsung Galaxy A20e Vibration Module Replacement

Replacing the vibration module can be more cost-effective and environmentally friendly compared to buying a new phone.

  • Targeted repair solution for the Samsung Galaxy A20e with weak or missing vibrations.

Step 1 | Switch off and discharge your phone

Turn off your device immediately before attempting to open it for safety.

  • Insert the SIM eject tool into the side hole on your phone.
  • Eject the SIM card tray and set aside all removed components.

Step 2 | Open your phone

Careful when handling the fingerprint sensor to avoid damage.

  • Insert a pick near the SIM card slot or a corner of the phone and slide it between the back cover and screen.
  • Pull the tool along the screen to release the back cover clips.

Gently detach the fingerprint sensor from the back cover, preserving the connection ribbon.

Step 3 | Disconnect the fingerprint sensor

Slide the spudger under the sensor's connector and gently pry it up to disconnect the module.

Ensure the sensor is safely stored away from the work area until repairs are complete.

Step 4 | Access the internals of the phone

Remove the Phillips screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

  • Lift the plastic covers with a spudger and remove them.
  • Store the covers in a safe place, just like the fingerprint sensor.

Step 5 | Disconnect everything!

Disconnecting ribbon cables prevents short circuits during repair.

  • Using a nylon spudger, lift and disconnect battery, screen, and charging connector ribbon cables.
  • Also, disconnect buttons (power and volume), front camera, GSM interconnect (white) and WiFi/Bluetooth (blue) ribbon cables.
  • Securely store the detached front camera to prevent damage.

Step 6 | Remove the motherboard

Remove the component by gently lifting it.

  • Free it from any connections or attachments.
  • Place the component in a secure area, away from damage or interference.

Step 7 | Remove and replace the vibrator module

Use a flathead screwdriver to gently lift the vibrator module.

  • Remove the vibrator module from the device.
  • Peel off the protective adhesive from your new vibrator module and place it in the same position at the bottom of the phone.
