Samsung Galaxy a20e Charging Board Replacement

Risk of explosion or fire if battery is not properly discharged before disassembly.

  • Discharge the battery to below 25% capacity to minimize risk.
  • Have replacement adhesive on hand for reassembling the device.

Step 1 | Remove the SIM card tray

  • Insert a SIM eject tool, SIM eject screwdriver tip, or a straightened paperclip into the small hole on the SIM tray.
  • Press firmly with the eject tool to avoid damaging the tray — risk of damage.

  • Remove the SIM card tray and ensure the cards are correctly oriented inside it when replacing them.

Step 2 | Cut the screen adhesive

Heat the screen using a hairdryer or an iOpener.

  • Lift the display with a suction cup, creating a small gap between the phone back cover and the display.
  • Insert an opening pick or thin tool into the gap and slide it along the entire edge to cut the adhesive.
  • Lift the display with the suction cup to separate it from the back cover.

Step 3 | Removal of the charging board cover

Remove the seven Philips #00 screws.

  • Remove the charging board cover.

  • Disconnect the logic board connector.
  • Remove the white and blue wires from their respective connections.
  • Unscrew the Philips #00 screw.

Step 5 | Charging Board Removal

Disconnect the charging board from its mounting points.

  • Remove any screws or clips holding the old board in place.
  • Take out the old charging board and set it aside.
  • Install the new charging board in its correct position.
  • Secure the new board with screws or clips as required.
