Samsung Galaxy A20 Battery Replacement

Removing the old battery can be time-consuming, so please plan accordingly.
Step 1 | Back Cover
Unplug and power off the device.
- Remove the SIM card and SIM card tray.
- Warm the adhesive on the back cover with an iOpener or heat gun.
Do not attempt to cut cold adhesive.
- Insert an opening pick in the seam between the back cover and chassis while the adhesive is warm.
- Slide the pick around the entire perimeter. If resistance is encountered, reheat the adhesive.
Remove the back cover.
Step 2 | Battery
Remove the 13 x 3.6mm Phillips screws securing the midframe.
- Use an opening pick to carefully lift out the midframe.
Step 3
- Use an opening tool to gently pry up the press connectors on both ends of each ribbon cable.
- Remove the ribbon cables.
Step 4
Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol at the top of the battery.
- Use an opening pick to gently pry up the battery.
- Be careful not to bend or puncture the battery.
- Remove the battery.
Bent or punctured batteries can cause damage and fire risks.
During reassembly, apply adhesive to the well if your new battery doesn't have pre-applied adhesive.
- Firmly press the new battery into place.
