Understand the adhesive layout:
Be cautious: do not pry deeper than 4 mm from the edge, except in the area below the additional adhesive layer.
Apply suction handle near right edge center.
If stuck, apply more heat to soften adhesive further.
Insert an opening pick into the gap created.
Reheat the iOpener and apply it to the bottom edge of the back cover for 2 minutes.
Insert a second opening pick in the bottom right corner.
Apply iOpener to the left side of the back cover for 2 minutes.
Make sure the iOpener is reheated before application.
Insert another opening pick in the bottom left corner and slide it along the left edge.
Reapply iOpener to the top of the back cover and heat for two minutes.
Leave this opening pick in the top right corner to prevent resealing of the adhesive.
Insert an opening pick along the top edge, twisting it gently to release the camera clips.
Insert the opening pick deeper into the bottom edge from the bottom left corner.
Remove the back cover.
Power on the device and test all functions before closing it up to ensure everything is working properly.
Make sure the phone is completely powered down before proceeding.
Follow specific instructions for custom-cut adhesives
If using double-sided tape, consult separate guidelines for proper removal and handling.
Remove all 15 4mm-long screws that attach the frame to the chassis.
Locate and carefully disconnect the fingerprint button press connector from the motherboard using a flat-end spudger.
Flip the phone over with the screen facing upwards.
Slide the opening pick around the perimeter of the phone.
Remove the phone frame by pulling it straight off.
Use the flat end of a spudger to gently pry up the battery press connector.
Ensure the OCTA display cable connector is completely disconnected.
Locate the SUB connector on the daughterboard.
Use the flat end of a spudger to carefully pry up the "MAIN" connector from the motherboard.
Insert the flat end of a spudger into the main camera press connector.
Use the flat end of a spudger to pry up and disconnect the main camera press connector.
Use angled tweezers to lift coaxial connectors off motherboard.
Reassembly: Use tweezers to hold connector in place and press down gently with finger or spudger; "snap" into socket.
Remove the motherboard retaining screw using a Philips screwdriver.
Disconnect the ultrawide camera press connector using the flat end of a spudger.
