Samsung Galaxy A11 Touchscreen is Unresponsive

Your Samsung Galaxy A11 will not respond to touch? Follow these steps.

Step 1 | Low Sensitivity

Check if a screen protector is interfering with touch sensitivity.

  • Calibrate your phone's touch sensitivity in Settings > Display > Touch Sensitivity.
  • Try using your phone after enabling this feature to see if it improves touch sensitivity.

Step 2 | Damaged Charger

A damaged charger can prevent sufficient power delivery to your device.

  • Replace the charger with a functional one.
  • Avoid using your phone during the charging process.

Try using your phone again after replacing the charger.

Step 3 | Outdated Software

Dated software can cause unresponsive touchscreens.

  • Update your phone by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
  • If interaction is impossible, try restarting the device:
    • Hold down the power button and volume down button simultaneously until the screen goes black.
    • Continue holding until the phone turns off completely.
    • Let go of the buttons. The device will automatically restart in a few seconds.

Step 4 | Unclean Screen

Build-up on the touchscreen may be causing responsiveness issues instead of a device problem.

  • Clean the touchscreen and screen protector with phone-safe electronic wipes.
  • Replace the screen protector.

If still experiencing issues, consider replacing your touchscreen.

Step 5 | Loose Digitizer

Tap each corner of the phone gently with your finger to attempt to reconnect the digitizer.

If this does not work, the digitizer may need to be repaired or replaced.

To do this, you will need to take apart the phone and access its internal components.
